Salary: c. £28,000

This business is looking for a motivated NPD Technologist to join their fast-growing New Product Development team. Reporting to the NPD Controller, you’ll support projects from concept to launch, work with customers and internal teams, and help shape the future of food innovation.
What You’ll Do:
- Keep product development on track by supporting the NPD team with critical path timings.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external customers to keep projects aligned.
- Own and maintain product development documentation, ensuring everything’s accurate and up to date.
- Write clear cooking and reheating instructions and complete attribute documentation.
- Conduct organoleptic and shelf-life testing to ensure products perform perfectly.
- Run and support taste panels, benchmarking, and product quality reviews.
- Prepare product samples for presentations and customer meetings.
- Keep the development kitchen organised, managing stock and ordering ingredients.
- Complete all admin and reporting on time.
What You’ll Bring:
- A degree in Food or a related field.
- Ideally 1–2 years’ experience in an NPD environment (exceptional grads considered).
- A genuine passion for food and a keen eye for trends.
- Superb organisational skills, strong time management, and sharp attention to detail.
- A hands-on, flexible approach and the confidence to work both independently and in a team.
- Excellent communication and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint essential).
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel (UK & internationally).
