Warehouse Manager- Permanent position
Based Park Royal, North West London
ROLE
Purpose
As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand. You’ll be leading and motivating a team of Warehouse colleagues, managing the entire Warehouse operations in the absence of the Head of Operations.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the preparation of all sales orders while respecting the products temperature ocntrol, segregation and packaging.
- Manage and support all good-in functions of the warehouse.
- Manage and support picking operation within the warehouse
- Manage and support drivers during loading when required.
- Ensure accurate picking.
- Ensure stock level is up-to-date and accurate.
- Provide training and coaching for team members, including annual appraisal
- Oversee goods return process and ensure divers and warehouse staff follow the correct procedure.
- Stock investigations and Stock cycle counts.
- To take full control of the operation during the absence of the Operations Manager and Head of Operations
- Support team briefings on performance, operations, health & safety etc.
- Report to Head of Operations as required on KPI’s (costs, availability, stock control, accidents, incidents).
- Carry out functions to support the overall operation of the business.
Engagement
- Maintain communication with our Purchasing, Transport & Warehouse team on daily operational issues
- Communicate to our Shift-Manager’s on daily basis.
- Motivate and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met.
- Implement and maintain health and safety procedures.
- Monitor KPIs set with Warehouse Manager
- People management and the ability to inspire and lead a team of people.
- Support warehouse functions.
CANDIDATE
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Warehouse industry, including food
- Experience using warehouse system such as SAP and High Jump.
- IT Literate with an excellent attention to detail.
- Articulate, confident and resilient with an ability to absorb pressure and respond positively.
- Manage warehouse operatives and ensure deliveries are made with excellent service and accuracy.
- Ensure equipment allocation processed in followed.
- Oversee staff performance and probation reviews and manage accordingly.
- Supporting warehouse operatives when operationally needed.
- Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Full understanding of BRC controls, measures and food safety.
- Confident communication skill to the warehouse and the wider business.
- Support the Transport Operation when required
- *You must be happy working in multi-temp environments, the company has a huge freeze room, chilled room and ambient area
- Our client is looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager, not someone that operates primarily from the office but someone who works closely with staff to motivate them

Mon-Fri 9am-6pm but flexibility required
*You would need to be flexible with your time, this is a day shift, but at times you will need to check in on the night staff and weekend staff- The operation runs 6 out of 7 nights (not Sunday)
