ROLE 

Quality Auditor- Permanent Position 

Monday- Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm 

Location: Hertfordshire 

Salary: Up to £33K Dependant on experience 

Exciting opportunity to join the Technical team at a market leading Food Business based in Hertfordshire. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining product quality and food safety through process monitoring, auditing, problem solving and communicating to individuals at all levels within the organisation. As part of your role, you will monitor and audit the manufacturing processes within the manufacturing environment in order to provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of the processes, from there develop and recommend action plans to improve the processes.

Key Accountabilities

Safety First! To support and be actively involved in improving and maintaining a safe working environment by ensuring that team members and employees are fully aware and comply with all Health and Safety standards, company and legal requirements.

Food Safety:

  • To carry out HACCP validation and verification checks
  • Ensuring product is manufactured having taken all reasonable precautions to prevent Foreign Body contamination of all descriptions
  • Create and deliver appropriate training
  • To carry regular audits and follow up on corrective actions
  • Support in managing Food Safety incidents

Quality:

  • To carry out process audits as defined within requirements
  • Complete audits of finished product quality
  • Sampling of products to ensure Product Quality and shelf life
  • Maintaining the QSM
  • To carry out environmental monitoring and working with the Hygiene department to implement corrective actions

Legality:

  • To collate daily weights information and ensure any corrective actions required are carried out
  • To review checkweigher performance daily and arrange for any remedial/corrective actions to be carried out

Project Work:

  • To continuously analyse and look for trends in all areas of the technical team scope
  • To feedback regularly and suggest and implement solutions that arise
  • To be involved in project work as required
  • To initiate CI projects to improve systems or solve problems

CANDIDATE 

  • Will have previous experience of working in a technical department preferably in a Food Manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading project involving multi-disciplinary teams is desirable.
  • Team player with excellent organisation and planning skills.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Professional approach and a self-starter and willing to learn new skills
  • Ideally degree educated, or equivalent.
  • PC Literate, including excellent Excel knowledge
