A UK/EU leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced and proactive QA Supervisor to support their flagship site in Greater Manchester. This hands-on role is crucial in maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and compliance across production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of 10–15 QA technicians and auditors during the AM shift.
- Oversee daily QA operations, including audits, process checks, sampling programmes, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, BRCGS standards, HACCP, and customer-specific codes of practice.
- Analyse QA data, trends, and KPIs to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Production, Technical, and Operations teams to embed a strong food safety and quality culture.
- Support internal, third-party, customer, and regulatory audits, including preparation, execution, and reporting.
- Manage non-conformances, complaints, and stock on hold to maintain site compliance.
- Contribute to risk assessments, projects, and policy updates, balancing shop-floor responsibilities with analytical reporting.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in QA or technical roles within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food legislation.
- Experience in audits, complaint/non-conformance investigation, and report writing.
- Organised, hands-on, and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
This is an excellent opportunity for a QA professional to take ownership of a key site function, leading a motivated team and contributing to ongoing operational excellence.
