Job Purpose: | To ensure the company meets customer and legislative food safety and quality requirements. |

Quality Requirements | · An understanding and use of the current NYB Quality management System including how documents are referenced. · Managing Corrective and preventative action to ensure it is closed out. · Ensure that documentation at all levels is maintained and where changes are done that they are within the document change procedure · Collect and file documentation and ensure that archiving is completed. · Ensure that all deviations from specification agreed are documented and reported through. | | |
Product & Process controls | · Ensuring independent process checks are completed in each area according to the schedule and relevant actions taken if out of the limits or specifications given. · Complete and organise the taste panel session on a twice daily basis · Ensure that the Organoleptic Schedule including customer requirements are maintained and that any out of specification results are followed up diligently. · Ensure Shelf-life samples are collected accurately and tested at end of life for mould or organoleptic against the Organoleptic schedule · The Positive release of key ingredients and packaging arriving to site. | | |

Food Safety | · A complete understanding of the Rotherham HACCP system. · To know all Critical Control Points and the associated process for checking them. · To identify Food safety risks i.e. foreign body, chemical or microbiological risks and to either take the appropriate corrective/preventative action or ensure it is reported accurately to the business. · To train out appropriately the CCP to relevant team members & competency assessment on the CCP · To understand and implement the Allergen procedures and controls. | | |
Laboratory Analysis | · To maintain and meet the current Rotherham Microbiological schedule using the appropriate systems and sampling. · To maintain and meet the current Rotherham Nutritional schedule using the appropriate systems and sampling · To maintain and meet the current Rotherham Allergen Testing schedule using the appropriate system · To maintain and meet the current Rotherham Swabbing schedule using the appropriate systems and sampling | | |
Pest Control | · To identify key Bakery Pests on site reporting the key actions and following up in collaboration and support with the Hygiene team | | |
Communication / Training | · To be able to clearly communicate with all levels of the business through the differing methods. · To be able to take messages through email and phone and direct through to the right level. · To help drive the training through mentoring and being the expert on shift. | | |
