Quality Controller Role
Based Blackpool
Main Responsibilities
- Focus on food safety and quality standards on site ensuring compliance.
- Liaise with Customers on any technical related issues and play an active part in all customer visits representing the business at times in a professional and ethical manner.
- Ensure we are compliant for individual customer technical and quality requirements
- Own and drive a technical improvement plan for the site.
- Produce production/working specifications as required
- Ensure supplier audits based on risk analysis are completed.
- Work directly with Quality Manager, production supervisors/managers and prepare regular management reports and trend analysis.
- Ensure pest control visits take place and ensure agreed recommendations of the pest control company are implemented.
- Communicate technical information in a way that meets the needs of the target audience.
- Support Product development & NPD function including line trials through to factory production.
- Co- ordinate external audits/visits to ensure positive outcome e.g. Liaise with external bodies in relation to food safety issues.
- Develop new approaches or technologies in the area of technical to ensure continuous improvement.
- Observe, act and immediately report any issues that may pose a threat to a safe working environment.
- Working with team to ensure successful completion of the annual BRC audit.
- Work with Quality to ensure root cause is completed on complaints and preventive measures are put in place.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Food Manufacturing / Technical: 2 years(required)
- Minimum Level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety qualification
- Prior experience in being involved in or leading BRC audits.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent IT Skills - Excel, Word and SharePoint
