PERMANENT, FULL TIME ROLE 

BASED RUNCORN, CHESHIRE 

COMPANY 

Our client specialise in the sourcing, development, import, and distribution of food products. They serve predominantly UK based customers: retailers, foodservices, manufacturers, wholesalers, defence services and public institutions.

Their goal is to be the pivotal link in the food chain, enabling their customers to access the supply market more effectively whilst providing competitive advantage through innovation.

ROLE 

They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Logistics Administrator. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop essential skills in various aspects of business and administration. This position is based in Runcorn and could be suitable for someone who is eager to kickstart their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment or for someone looking to build on previous logistics experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Assist in providing general administrative support to the team, including managing incoming calls, responding to emails, filing documents and maintaining compliance within the logistics team.
  • Data Entry and Record Keeping: Accurately input and maintain records and data using appropriate systems and software. Ensure data integrity, confidentiality and compliance with data protection guidelines.
  • Communication: Assist in good communication with suppliers and customers, facilitating effective communication within the team.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Assist in creating and maintaining business documents, including contracts, policies, and procedures. Support in the preparation of regular reports, presentations and statistical analysis when required.
  • Project Support: Provide support to ongoing projects by conducting research, collecting data, and compiling reports. Assist in monitoring project timelines, milestones and deliverables.
  • Customer Service: Assist in delivering excellent customer service, by responding to queries promptly and professionally. Handle customer / supplier inquiries and complaints ensuring they are resolved or escalated appropriately.
  • Learning and Development: Actively participate in training programmes and learning opportunities to enhance business administration skills and knowledge. Seek feedback and apply new skills to improve performance.
  • Work with departments on social sustainability projects, such as community volunteering
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Support logistics of inbound and outbound shipments, including coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers.

CANDIDATE 

  • Excellent communicator & relationship builder
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong ability to understand, translate and present large amounts of complex data
  • Able to work as an individual as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrate tenacity, diligence & resilience
  • Sound IT & PC skills including all Microsoft packages and Teams
  • Exposure to Logistics related work would be desirable 
  • Ideally you will hold a Driver's License   

Working Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Hybrid is an option after probation 

Holidays: 25 days + Bank holidays

Pension: 6% Matched

Life assurance: x 3 basic salary
