LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

Location: Hertfordshire
Full-time, permanent, visa sponsorship not available
Pay: Circa £30k depending on experience

The Role

To work cohesively with the Logistics Manager, Assistant Manager and Logistics team to provide a high level of service to the internal and external customers.

Duties & Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Assisting the team and other departments to ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner

  • Match invoices to documentation and forward for processing

  • Log & Track all shipments

  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate any delays or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders

  • Support transport planning by maintaining accurate data within internal systems

  • Process sales invoices and ensure all related documentation is accurate and correctly filed

  • Update inhouse computer system in accordance with the company’s day to day business practices

  • Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Supply Chain, Accounts) to ensure smooth flow of goods and documentation

  • Adhering to the full requirement of the role with respect to Food Safety Legality and Quality, In line with company Food Safety & Quality Policy

  • Support other colleagues or departments when necessary

The Person

  • Solid proven background in administration and experience in Logistics 1 year+

  • Knowledge of EU and non-EU import and export processes (useful but not essential)

  • Be competent in use of Microsoft Office applications

  • Intermediate to advanced in Excel (essential) as lots of detailed spreadsheet work

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment - working to deadlines and ability to react to short notice changes to suit operational requirements

  • Accuracy and attention to detail essential

  • Proactive, ability to work using own initiative

  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven administrative and organisational abilities, with a high level of attention to detail

  • Customer-focused mindset with a flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Hybrid working after probation – non contractual

  • Hours 9.00 – 5.30 with 1 hour lunch
