An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Factory Manager to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business based in the Edinburgh area.

This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced production environment, offering the chance to make a real impact in a business that is investing in growth and operational improvement.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the factory, leading multiple production departments and ensuring the highest standards across operations.

This is a highly hands-on position, with a strong presence required on the factory floor.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing teams across production, logistics and associated functions

• Driving production efficiency, output and continuous improvement

• Ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene and compliance (including HACCP)

• Overseeing staffing, training and performance management

• Supporting maintenance planning and capital investment projects

• Promoting a strong health & safety culture across site

• Deputising for senior leadership when required

The Candidate

We are looking for a motivated and personable leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in a Factory Manager / Production Manager role within food manufacturing

• Strong people management and leadership skills

• A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front

• Good knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP

• Experience working in a high-volume production environment

• A continuous improvement mindset
