We are recruiting on behalf of a growing, family-run food manufacturing business based in East Lothian, supplying dairy products across the UK.
This is a hands-on role within a stable and expanding business, offering the chance to learn a skilled trade with progression opportunities. No previous cheesemaking experience is required, as full training will be provided for the right person.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating pasteurising, production and packing equipment
- Producing a range of soft cheeses and cultured dairy products
- Following recipes and set processes to ensure products are made to specification
- Working to food safety, hygiene and quality standards
- Completing basic production records and paperwork
- Packing finished products
- Working closely with the production team to keep operations running smoothly
What we’re looking for:
- A strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to get stuck in
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- A basic level of English for speaking, reading and writing
- Own transport (rural location)
- Experience in food production or a food-safe environment is helpful but not essential
