In 2014, D R Newitt experienced an outstanding growth of 48% due to the increasing demands of both our candidates and clients. Consequently, the business decided to expand and open a brand new office in the centre of Manchester.
The office currently holds fourteen highly trained Recruitment Consultants with Richard Steele overseeing the operation. The new office location allows D R Newitt to provide an even better Recruitment solution for the UK.
Meet the team….
It’s been over a year since the initial opening so we decided to catch up with Richard to see how things are getting on. Here are a few words from the man himself…
“I have been with D R Newitt since 2011 and have successfully worked my way up through the business year on year. In June 2015 I made the decision to relocate to Manchester to manage our new office. Two Senior Consultants also relocated from the Edinburgh office.
Over the past year, the office has grown significantly. On the first day of opening, we had three people in the office and the place felt very quiet! During the year we have employed 11 new consultants, ranging from Graduate level up to Senior Consultant. As you can imagine it is now a lively place to work day in day out.
When we opened the office we wanted to make sure we maintained a strong working relationship between the staff in Edinburgh and Manchester. All our new staff have visited our office in Edinburgh and we plan on doing our Christmas Party in Edinburgh every year. We also have a number of incentives which integrates both offices including quarterly trips abroad for achieving certain targets. This has really helped with the camaraderie within the business.
The first year in Manchester has been a huge success and we will carry on growing. We are already looking to grow the team further and I am really proud of what everyone has achieved so far.”
Clearly, the expansion has been a huge leap forward for the business, the future looks very exciting indeed!
