Location: Goole

About Us:
My client are a leading specialist in the transport of bulk products with a robust fleet of 90+ vehicles navigating routes across the UK & Europe. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Transport Planner to play a key role in our well-established team based in Goole.

Job Description:
As a Transport Planner, you will be the linchpin of our operational success, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless coordination of deliveries, maintain compliance, and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan customer deliveries efficiently and cost-effectively, optimizing routes for maximum efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with road transport legislation, including drivers' hours and tachograph rules.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring all documentation is in order.
• Monitor driver status to proactively address delays, ensuring on-time deliveries and meeting service level agreements.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally and competently.
• Provide support and cover for colleagues when necessary.

Qualifications:
• Fluent in both written and spoken English to facilitate effective communication with the team, drivers, and customers.
• Computer literate with strong knowledge of Excel.
• Familiarity with road transport legislation, including drivers' hours and tachograph rules.
• Strong geographical knowledge to optimize route planning.
• Methodical with a keen eye for detail, thriving in a fast-paced transport planning environment.
• International CPC is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours:
• Monday – Friday
• 8 am – 6 pm (3 days a week)
• 7 am – 5 pm (2 days a week)
• On-call one night per week
• 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday AM in the office)
