Transport Manager

Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen as a Transport Manager for an established company specialising in logistics.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the transport fleet and it is located in North Cumbria.


The Role:


-Reporting to the site director.

-Looking after a fleet of 30 units and over 60 trailers.

-Working with the transport coordination team to seek out what the best approach would be for each situation.

-Actively seeking ways to reduce costs and improve customer service.

-40 hour 5 day weeks.

-Maintaining a clear functional plan that will account for the customer’s standards and expectations.


The Candidate:


-Experience working with fresh produce with temperature controlled logistics, ideally within the Food Industry.

-Advantageous to have experience using Enterprise, Paragon and Smart Analysis software.

-Desirable to have a CPC International/ Managers License.

- Familiar working in a unionised environment.

- Flexibility in working hours to meet customer demands


This position offers an excellent working environment, good package and generous holidays.


Salary- £25,000-£35,000
