Job Description

Position: Remote Technical Manager with Foreign Travel

We are excited to announce a remote-based opportunity for a highly skilled Technical Manager. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience, particularly in dealing with UK retailers.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and implement quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed regulatory and customer standards.
Conduct regular assessments of processes and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
Manage and develop relationships with suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality and technical specifications.
Conduct supplier audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Leverage your expertise to understand and fulfil the unique requirements of UK retailers.
Collaborate closely with UK retail partners, addressing their technical concerns and ensuring alignment with their standards.
Effectively lead and coordinate a remote technical team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Ensure seamless communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Technical oversight of new product launches, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Work closely with internal teams to streamline the approval process for new products.
Maintain accurate records of quality control processes, supplier communications, and compliance activities.
Prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders on technical performance and improvements.

Experience:

Proven experience in a Technical Manager role, with a focus on UK retailers.
Familiarity with the technical requirements of major UK retail partners.

Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Food Science, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of quality management systems, including HACCP and BRC.
Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful implementation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
HACCP certification or equivalent.
Knowledge of BRC standards.
