The Role
The Engineering Store Coordinator is responsible for the efficient running of the engineer’s store.
Key Responsibilities
? Providing and maintaining the store’s inventory system.
? Carrying out regular stock checks, maintaining stock levels and providing reports.
? Keeping the stores neat, tidy and organised.
? Processing Engineering Parts requisitions, quotes, purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices.
? Maintaining the engineering budget spreadsheet.
? Liaising with suppliers, ordering parts in the most cost effective way in line with engineering requirements and challenging discrepancies.
? Checking goods delivered against supplier’s paperwork and the computerised system.
? Updating computer system with delivery details.
? Preparing paperwork for returning goods to suppliers.
? Managing the booking out/in system for all engineers.
? Carrying out general tasks as required by Engineering Management.
? Participating in keeping all work areas clean, safe and tidy.
? Reporting to Engineering Management any issues which are likely to affect the smooth running of the store.
? Identifying any training requirements which may be beneficial to the role or the department.
? Maintaining a good working relationship within the department and factory.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
? Experience of using a computerised purchasing and stock control systems.
Hours of Work
? Hours of work will be from 7.00am to 4.00pm or 8.00am to 5.00pm.
? There will be a requirement for the post holder to be flexible with their working hours to fit with the needs of the business.
Other Relevant Information:
? The role is physically demanding at times and the post holder needs to have the physical capability to cope with the demands of the job. There will be a requirement for the post holder to lift items that are up to a maximum weight of 25kg.
? Assist and/or work in other areas/departments as and when required when asked to do so by a manager, senior manager, or company director.
The Package
? £12.50 per hour (£26,000 per annum) rising to £27,000
? Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate.
? Pension.
? 30 days annual leave.
