Production Manager

Reports To: Factory Manager.

Direct Reports: Production Supervisors.

This role is paying up to £50,000.

This role can be a constant night shift (9pm – 6am) or a weekly rotation of back shift (3pm – 12am) and night shift (9pm – 6am).

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire chilled coding process, ensuring our high-quality food products are accurately coded and dispatched on time. You will collaborate closely with the Factory Manager and other Production Managers to maintain smooth factory operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a results-driven professional to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Management: Oversee the chilled coding process, ensuring precise execution and timely dispatch of orders.
Issue Resolution: Log and address any issues, including late orders, machine breakdowns, and order inaccuracies.
Documentation Expertise: Maintain a thorough understanding of chilled coding paperwork requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Target Achievement: Identify and implement strategies to meet and exceed chilled coding and production targets.
Timekeeping: Accurately monitor and log the working hours of chilled coding staff.
Production Oversight: Ensure production targets are met and effectively manage any downtime.
Quality Control: Monitor product standards and uphold our quality control programs.
Team Collaboration: Liaise with technical and commercial teams to ensure products meet safety, quality, and legislative standards.
Safety Compliance: Ensure health and safety guidelines are strictly followed by all personnel on the factory floor.
Policy Adherence: Support and enforce company policies across all levels of staff.
Leadership: Lead, supervise, and motivate operatives and supervisors to achieve optimal performance.
Training Development: Identify training needs and coordinate necessary development programs for team members.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records to support operational transparency and efficiency.

Certification: A Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.
