My client have an incredible state of the art facility that operates seasonally 24 hours a day, handling north of 40,000 tons of fruit and vegetables from over 400+ Scottish farms.

Title: Multi Skilled Engineer
Salary: £39,000 basic with the opportunity to earn up to £45,000 approximately with overtime (above market overtime rate)
Regular Shift: Monday to Thursday (7.30am to 4.30pm) & Friday (7.30am to 2.30pm)
Harvest Period Shift (July to late September=approx. 12 Weeks): 4 on 1 off(6.45am-7pm), 4 on 3 off (6.45pm to 7am)
Shift Summary: Monday to Friday days outside of the Harvest Period (approx. 12 weeks)
Holidays: 24 days + 2 week shutdown for Christmas (Total 33 days)
Responsibilities:
•Experienced electrical and mechanical maintenance engineer to maintain and repair a comprehensive range of high-quality plants and equipment.
•The position will require the capability to diagnose and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical machine faults, carry out PPM activities and some basic building maintenance and improvement tasks.
•Knowledge of PLC-based control systems is essential along with capabilities in the diagnosis of mechanical failures.
•The scope of your job will include all mechanical and electrical engineering needs within the facility.
•Suitable candidates will be energetic, enthusiastic, flexible and willing to work hard as part of a compact and very successful team.
•Dealing quickly and effectively with reactive repairs to breakdowns minimizing production downtime
•Demonstrating good fault-finding and diagnostic skills across a range of technologies in-cluding mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
•Delivering high standards of workmanship with an emphasis on quality of repairs and the objective to maintain the plant assets to OEM condition or better.
•Satisfactory completion of agreed regular maintenance duties, corresponding to document-ed procedures.
•Completion of specifically agreed assignments, electrical and mechanical, to be set for you based on real projects necessary for the smooth running of our operations.
