This in turn has propelled the business to even higher heights and they are now needing key members of staff to help drive the business forward.

Title: Mechanical Fitter

Salary: £26,000 to £33,000 plus 3k shift allowance

Shift:
Week 1: Mon to Thu(7am to 3pm), Fri(6am to 1pm)
Week 2: Sun to Wed(11pm to 7am), Thu(11pm to 6am)
Week 3: Mon to Thu(3pm to 11pm), Fri(1pm to 8pm)

Pension Scheme: 6%

Location: Perth and Kinross

The ideal candidate
At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment (or modern industrial considered), You will have the ability to demonstrate a hands-on knowledge of mechanical processes such as turning, milling, drilling, fabrication, welding etc. Ideally from a mechanical biased background.

Knowledge and Experience:
•Good at problem solving and fault finding.
•Hands-on knowledge of pipework, valves & pumps, sprinkler system, general fitting etc.
•3 years minimum experience within manufacturing environment.
•Experience and understanding of heating systems, compressors, motors, pumps, heat exchangers, ventilation systems, hydraulics & pneumatic systems.
•Good decision-making skills with strong organisational skills.
•A Knowledge of workshop machinery to produce parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, slotting, grinding or drilling metal stock or components.
•Use all relevant tools, machinery and equipment to comply with current Health & Safety Legislation. Fully understand all relevant general Health & Safety issues appertaining to the relevant trade discipline.

Main accountabilities will include:
•Working to reduce plant downtime.
•Troubleshoot and resolve plant and equipment faults.
•Plan and carry out preventative maintenance tasks.
•Accurately and constructively carry out corrective maintenance actions.
•Practice continuous improvement, innovation and pro-activeness for improved working – offering possible solutions to issues.
•Carry out all work in accordance with the department’s generic risk assessments and non-generic risk assessments as and when required.
•Flexibility to carry out other given duties.
