My client are a leading packaging manufacturer based in Sunderland, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility, contributing to the production of high-quality packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, packaging machinery, and other production-related systems.
Preventive Maintenance: Implement and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimise downtime and maximise equipment efficiency.
Fault Diagnosis: Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults in a timely and efficient manner.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of machinery and processes to enhance overall production efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to address maintenance needs and ensure seamless production operations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with PLCs
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Education:
Relevant Engineering Qualification / Apprenticeship in an Engineering Discipline.
