A renowned and reputable food manufacturing company are seeking a multi skilled engineer/ maintenance engineer to join their team. Having had well established partnerships with some of the UK’s most established brands, they are a titan within their respective market and with recent improvements, they are continuing their expansion into the market.
Despite their commercial success, they have remained a close tight knit group of people. They make it their priority to ensure all members of staff are well looked after and it is this culture that has played a pivotal role in their commercial as well as cultural success.
Here is a brief overview of the role:
Salary: £45K-50K DoE
Shift: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm, potential weekends as and when required)
Location: Ross and Cromarty

Responsibilities:
~ Work on the processing factory in Dingwall with travel to farming sites (company vehicle provided)
~Repair and troubleshoot machinery/electrical faults.
~Optimize equipment safely, efficiently, and reliably participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules.
~Supporting and engaging with lean manufacturing techniques to work effectively with PLC programmes.
~Installation of electrical circuits to relevant standards.
~Maintenance of current electrical circuits.
~Manage contractors on site ensuring work is carried out to satisfactory standards.
~Assist the engineering team in the efficient operation of the processing plant and equipment.
~Complying to the highest standards of health and safety.
~ Work on our remote sea sites as directed regarding electrical installations (very rare instance)
Requirements:
~Recognised apprenticeship SVQ/NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
~17th or 18th Edition.
~Some knowledge of mechanical engineering.
~Basic plumbing.
~Experience from within the manufacturing/production industries desirable but not essential.
~Be committed and self-motivated, with very good organisational skills.
~The ability to work within a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
