Senior NPD Technologist

This is the NPD you might have imagined when you started in Food Manufacturing in the UK: Branded product development, retailer own-label (with customers that trust this business) product development, customer presentations, blue sky innovation, a manager who lets you pitch ideas to them with a real prospect of seeing them through to full production. You could even coach and mentor some of the team if management is a career goal of yours.

The team is small, so you would get involved in every bit of the NPD process, the company has added £100 million to its revenue in the last 7 years, so it's headed in the right direction.

Your time would be split between the development kitchen, down in production and at your desk in the office, and you would have significant control over your time and autonomy to do what's needed, rather than being spoon-fed tasks one-by-one.

You would get lots of training and development here. But, as a starting point, we need someone who is any of the following: a concept development person who is keen to add factory trials and process to their experience; or a process person who wants to get involved in concept; or even a food-related degree graduate with a year's experience in technical in the UK, who has worked alongside NPD and really wants to make that step. Great if you have all three, but each of these backgrounds will be considered seriously.

£30,000 - £35,000, non-contractual bonus
