Are you passionate about food innovation and bringing exciting new products to market? I am recruiting a talented Senior Product Development Technologist to join my clients Product & Innovation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a flair for creativity, technical expertise, and strong commercial awareness to make a real impact.

As a Senior Product Development Technologist, you’ll lead the delivery of customer development projects — from initial concept through to launch. You’ll play a key role in innovation, product improvement, and product transfers, ensuring each product meets both customer expectations and manufacturing standards.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders across the business, lead critical NPD meetings, and manage the full lifecycle of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver approved product development projects from brief to launch.

  • Lead innovation, product improvement, and SKU rationalisation projects.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, right-first-time product launches.

  • Provide technical expertise to both customers and site teams.

  • Support and mentor team members to foster growth and succession planning.

  • Continuously review and improve processes to enhance quality and efficiency.

About You

  • Degree in a Food-related discipline

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in food product development, with hands-on launch responsibility.

  • Proven experience managing customer relationships and delivering to commercial and technical targets.

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Confident communicator and influencer at all levels.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Full, clean driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
