Quality & Compliance Manager – Gluten Free

Location: Edinburgh, Bonnyrigg
Reports to: Technical Manager
Direct Reports: Quality Assistants, Consumer Services Administrator

Nairn’s are now looking for a hands-on Quality & Compliance Manager to lead food safety and quality at the Gluten Free bakery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running, uphold high factory standards, and drive a culture of quality across the site.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and improve Quality Management Systems, HACCP, and food safety processes.

  • Be visible on the factory floor to ensuring standards, GMP, and hygiene are consistently maintained.

  • Lead BRCGS, retailer, and regulatory audits.

  • Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints, ensuring effective corrective actions.

  • Supervise and develop a small quality team, fostering high performance.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong track record in Quality Management within food manufacturing.

  • Proven experience with QMS, HACCP (Level 3+), BRCGS standards, and retailer audit requirements.

  • Skilled in leading and motivating small teams.

  • Organised, detail-focused, and confident in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bakery or gluten-free experience a bonus, but not essential.

  • Qualification (minimum HND) in Food Technology or relevant discipline, HACCP Qualification (Level 3) and Internal Auditors Qualification.
