Process Technologist

An established food manufacturer is seeking a Process Technologist to support the scale-up and launch of new products within a ready-to-eat environment. This role is responsible for managing factory trials, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met, and supporting smooth first production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage factory trials to ensure safe, consistent, and cost-effective manufacture of new products.
• Compile detailed product and trial documentation to support customer approval and finished product specifications.
• Establish and validate processing, cooking, freezing, and up tempering methodologies.
• Coordinate laboratory testing and contribute to quality risk assessments.
• Support operations during first production and customer visits.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and product quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience within food manufacturing or NPD/process development.
• Strong understanding of food safety, quality, and manufacturing processes.
• Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
• Competent IT skills (Microsoft Office).
• Strong communication, organisation, and analytical skills.
