Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Salary: £40,000 – £48,000
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday | Rotating Weekly

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns across production and site services
Diagnosing faults on automated production and packaging machinery, including PLC fault-finding
Providing electrical and mechanical support across manufacturing operations
Driving continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and reliability projects to reduce downtime
Supporting line changeovers, lean initiatives, and efficiency improvements (SMED, CI activities)
Maintaining accurate maintenance records using computerised systems
Working closely with production teams to improve asset care and performance
Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of health & safety, quality, and housekeeping
Supporting apprentices and contributing to knowledge sharing within the engineering team

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical bias
Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC)
Experience within Food, FMCG, or a similar fast-paced process environment
Confident fault-finding/programming on automated machinery and PLC-controlled systems.
Comfortable working in a high-pressure production environment
