Commodity Procurement Manager

This food manufacturing group is already on the way to professionalising the buying function, and you would have the full support of the leadership team to make the changes necessary to enhance the capabilities of the team. The role is looking after a team across two sites, delivering cost-saving projects and executing tender processes and negotiating supplier contracts,with the goal of bring more ingredients into contracts (as opposed to spot-buying). 

You would get to develop and implement category strategies, like you have done for a food company in the past, as well as take ownership of the Purchase Price Variance. Your team is split across two sites in the Midlands, but you wouldn't need your management experience to have been multi-site in the past. There are significant wins to be had in bring more of the company's raw materials under contract, and the work you could do in this role could have significant effects on profitability for the company.

  • On-site 3 days per week in the East Midlands, 1 day per week in the West Midlands, and 1 days from home
  • £65,000 - £75,000 basic salary
  • Enhanced matched pension scheme

  • 33 days annual leave (including statutory days)
