Technical Compliance Manager
About the Role
We are working with a leading FMCG business to recruit a Technical Compliance Manager for one of their offices in Kent. This full-time role will lead compliance across a wide range of products, suppliers, and geographies, ensuring food safety, ethical due diligence, and monitoring environmental impacts while managing and developing a high-performing compliance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Technical Compliance team, setting priorities and ensuring objectives are achieved.
- Oversee supplier due diligence, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information across internal and customer systems.
- Manage supplier approval and compliance onboarding processes.
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and monitor ongoing compliance across all product categories.
- Oversee chemical surveillance testing schedules and manage supplier recalls and traceability exercises.
- Maintain accurate approved supplier lists for internal and customer requirements.
- Develop and implement compliance procedures and internal guidance.
- Report on compliance performance and sustainability KPIs to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Technical, Procurement, and Commercial teams to integrate compliance and sustainability objectives.
- Prepare for and lead customer audits and quarterly HACCP reviews.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Food Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Proven experience managing teams with strong leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across all levels of the business.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
