Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract (with potential to become permanent)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Office-based)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented NPD Process Technologist to join a dynamic New Product Development team. This is a 12-month maternity cover role, with the possibility of becoming permanent. It's an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a relevant placement year or someone with a solid understanding of food manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of product concepts, formulations, and prototypes.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Process, Technical, Operations, and Continuous Improvement.

• Manage new and existing product development projects from handover to launch, ensuring they meet customer expectations and deadlines.

• Organise and manage factory trials, highlighting any issues or observations with new products or processes.

• Support customer and retailer submissions for new products.

• Maintain accurate documentation including recipes, trial records, shelf-life data, and costings.

• Oversee product testing and provide feedback and improvement recommendations.

• Ensure all projects align with critical path timelines.

• Provide general support to the NPD team across development projects.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or new product development environment (A year-long industrial placement in Process/ technical/ NPD would be brilliant!)

• A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

• Strong communication skills and confidence in customer-facing roles.

• Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects efficiently.

• A degree in Food Science or a related subject is desirable.
