Job Title: NPD Technologist – Sports Nutrition (Dry Powder Ingredients)
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum

About the Role:
As an NPD Technologist, you’ll be at the forefront of product development, driving innovation and overseeing the creation of high-performance nutritional powders. You will play a key role in formulating new products, improving existing lines, and ensuring all developments meet technical, nutritional, and commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and launch new dry powder formulations for sports nutrition products

• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to source and trial new ingredients

• Conduct bench trials, scale-up production, and support factory trials

• Ensure all products meet regulatory, safety, and nutritional guidelines

• Maintain accurate formulation, costing, and technical documentation

• Monitor trends and competitor activity to inform innovation pipeline

Requirements:

• Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in NPD within food, ingredients, or sports nutrition

• Strong understanding of functional ingredients, flavour systems, and nutritional legislation

• Hands-on formulation experience, particularly with dry powders

• Excellent project management and communication skills
