Material Technologist – 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Central Belt, Scotland (site-based)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Our client is a market-leading food manufacturing group seeking an experienced Material Technologist to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.

As a technical expert in raw materials, you’ll oversee the validation of all new raw materials and support departmental leadership with raw material and packaging specifications. You’ll manage raw material non-conformances and lead troubleshooting investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and effective, sustainable preventative actions are implemented.

About You:
You’ll bring a proven track record of working with packaging and raw materials from a technical perspective, ideally supported by a degree (or equivalent qualification) in Food Science, Packaging, or a related field.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Can confidently manage their own projects and workload
• Communicates effectively and can influence at all levels of the business
• Has strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, professional approach
• Is computer literate with strong written and verbal communication skills
