BASED GLASGOW 

ROLE 

Main Purpose 

To assist and support the technical service within the Technical Department, working to legal compliance and accredited standards of food safety management and quality.

 

Responsibilities - including but not limited to:

 

  • Assist in the maintenance of product and customer specification through various customer portals
  • Assist in the artwork process
  • Complaint handling reporting, trends and actions, liaising with factories over any issues
  • Diligent control of library samples, both in freezers and cupboards
  • Maintenance of QAS records
  • Act as link between operations and Technical
  • Co-ordinate packaging recyclability projects
  • Company contact for Retailer submissions  
  • Create barcodes, when required
  • Produce monthly KPI reports to send to factories 
  • Support the business projects from concept to launch
  • Prepare and issue quarterly newsletter, working alongside NPD Technologist 
  • Ensure that suppliers are supported with specific retailer policies and updates when required

CANDIDATE 

  • A focused individual, with a knowledge of various retailer customer portals
  • Have a basic knowledge HACCP and BRCGs with the flexibility to learn
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with staff and factories, with patience, professionalism and decorum.
  • Advance computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, word, outlook, power point etc) with strong processing and analytical ability
  • Willingness to learn UK/EU food legislation
  • Able to respond quickly to operational demands
  • Have an interest in food

Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm with an hour for lunch 

5 Days in Office after 3 month probation 4 Days in Ofifce 1 Day working from home. 

Pension Employee can put in up to 5% and Company contributes 3%.
