Senior Process Development Tech
Job description
Are you passionate about food and love the challenge of turning kitchen concepts into successful factory-ready products?
We’re working with a leading UK food manufacturer with a reputation for innovation, quality, and brand excellence - and they’re looking for a Senior Process Development Technologist to join their growing team.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a fast-paced, forward-thinking food business that truly values creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You’ll play a key part in bringing great-tasting, responsibly made products to life - from concept to launch.
Location - South Wales
The Role
You’ll be at the heart of the product development process, bridging the gap between the kitchen and the factory.
Working closely with the Development, Technical, and Production teams, you’ll plan and run factory trials, optimise processes, and make sure every new product hits the mark on quality, cost, and performance.
It’s a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same - ideal for someone who loves seeing ideas turn into reality on the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead and coordinate factory trials for new and existing products.
-
Translate kitchen concepts into scalable manufacturing processes.
-
Work cross-functionally with Production, Technical, and Engineering teams to resolve challenges and optimise performance.
-
Capture key trial data, complete documentation, and ensure compliance with internal standards.
-
Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across the site.
-
Assist with launches, training, and post-launch reviews to ensure smooth roll-out and ongoing success.
About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re naturally curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about food manufacturing.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
-
Experience in food production or process development.
-
A qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
-
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
-
The ability to communicate confidently across multiple teams.
-
A proactive, hands-on attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
Why You’ll Love It
You’ll be joining a business that’s growing fast and investing in its people and processes.
They offer a supportive environment, opportunities to develop your technical skills, and the chance to play a real role in shaping innovative, market-leading products that consumers love.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your food manufacturing career, want to work somewhere that’s dynamic, collaborative, and genuinely values its team, then this could be the perfect move for you.
