Are you a passionate EHS professional ready to make a real impact?
This is your opportunity to take ownership of health, safety, and environmental performance at a dynamic food manufacturing site, driving a culture where safety, wellbeing, and sustainability are truly at the heart of operations.

As Senior EHS Specialist, you’ll be the site’s go-to expert, shaping strategy, coaching teams, and embedding best practices across a fast-paced, high-compliance environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion a proactive safety culture across all site operations.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental policies in line with UK legislation and industry standards.

  • Lead risk assessments, site audits, and hazard identification programmes.

  • Deliver engaging training and toolbox talks on topics like manual handling, fire safety, PPE, and emergency response.

  • Investigate incidents to root cause, implement corrective actions, and share learnings across the business.

  • Drive environmental management and sustainability initiatives — reducing waste and improving energy efficiency.

  • Produce compliance reports, liaise with regulators, and keep stakeholders informed on EHS performance.

  • Promote engagement through creative safety campaigns and wellbeing initiatives.

About You

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation — essential.

  • Proven experience in EHS within food manufacturing, FMCG, or other highly regulated industries.

  • A confident communicator with the ability to influence, coach, and inspire at every level.

  • Analytical and solutions-focused, with a track record of turning data and insights into action.

  • Experienced in leading audits, managing investigations, and driving behavioural safety improvements.

  • Flexible, hands-on, and passionate about creating a safe, compliant, and positive workplace.
