Electrically Bias Engineer
Job description
Location: Northamptonshire
Hours: Monday – Friday (Days)
On-Call: One weekend in five
Industry: Food Production
My client are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrically bias Engineer to join their engineering team. This role is vital in ensuring the continuous and efficient running of their automated production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to and promote company Health and Safety guidelines.
Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to maintain optimum performance.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on component failures and drive reliability improvements.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
Participate in an on-call rota (one weekend in five).
Ensure full compliance with food safety standards.
Develop and execute small-scale engineering projects.
Specify and procure replacement parts as needed.
Manage and issue permits to control on-site contractors.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems, including process control engineering.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong focus on safety, able to work independently or as part of a team.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
PLC knowledge and fabrication/welding experience are advantageous.
Education & Experience:
City & Guilds qualified or equivalent; time-served multi-skilled engineer.
Competent working with electrical systems up to 415V.
Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, multi-skilled engineering environment.
BOAS experience is desirable
