If so, we have a tasty opportunity for a Brand Manager on a (Maternity Cover) Fixed-Term Contract (12 months) to join our Brand Team

Join our deliciously creative team, an award-winning manufacturer based in the picturesque town of Lanark. With over 40 years of heritage, we are passionate about crafting using traditional methods and quality ingredients. Our commitment to excellence has earned us multiple awards and a loyal customer base, making us a household name throughout the UK and beyond.

You will be part of a dynamic team that is to oversee and execute the brand strategy, rooted in consumer and shopper insight, which will, in turn, build brand value and drive forward the long term growth strategy. The successful candidate will deliver marketing, innovation and commercial projects, whilst working closely with multiple cross functional teams, and support and develop their team. This role reports directly to the CEO of Border. While the role operates from Monday to Friday dayshift, flexibility will be required to support the business, for example to support key projects.

What will the role involve? As Brand Manager, you will be the guardian of the brand strategy, ensuring that every touchpoint reflects the brand’s vision, values, and guidelines with clarity and consistency. You’ll take the lead in developing commercially viable innovation briefs that resonate with our core audiences and strengthen brand positioning. From concept to launch, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including Technical, NPD, Finance, and Sales—to steer innovation projects through the Stage Gate process, securing Board approval where required. Market research will be a part of your role, ensuring all product and design developments are grounded in consumer insight and tested for success. You’ll also be responsible for executing our creative marketing strategy, driving awareness and brand advocacy through compelling campaigns and a strong promotional plan including marketing assets for sales and trade events. Working with agency partners, you’ll oversee the full marketing mix across both Grocery and Out of Home Foodservice channels, while managing the development of brand packaging for a large scale labelling review. The role involves full accountability for marketing and category budgets, including oversight of costs to deliver optimum ROI.
