Position: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Teynham

Role Summary:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in leading the warehouse operations on a shift basis. Your main responsibilities will include ensuring a safe and quality-focused operation, meeting daily and weekly targets, and implementing objectives necessary for the success of the warehouse and picking operations. You will supervise Warehouse Operatives, maintain health and safety standards, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Health & Safety Procedures, and Product Specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise warehouse operations, prioritizing safety, quality, service, and cost through people development.
• Manage the overall warehouse and pick performance, ensuring accurate picking and transfer of products to storage or loading areas.
• Oversee Warehouse Operatives, achieving daily output, picking efficiency, and quality requirements.
• Monitor pick rates, identify opportunities for increased efficiency, minimize warehouse errors, and maximize employee productivity.
• Support the Warehouse Manager in resolving operational matters efficiently and in accordance with legal requirements.
• Conduct pick location checks and random pick pallet checks to minimize warehouse errors.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and contribute to site/warehouse improvements.
• Coach, develop, and train Warehouse Operatives, implementing personal development and training plans.
• Schedule day-to-day operations, achieve operational KPIs, and contribute to a Continuous Improvement Plan.
• Collaborate with other Supervisors to enhance communication, share best practices, and improve efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and housekeeping, ensuring compliance with Company standards.
• Support BRC requirements for the site and ensure operational adherence.
• Assist the Warehouse Manager in labour and agency worker planning.
• Handle people issues efficiently and effectively in line with Company policy.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Excellent English and Maths skills.
• Ability to understand and work effectively with different cultures.
• Experience in dealing with disciplinary matters.
• Strong customer focus and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of the Prophet system is desirable.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Track record of meeting KPI targets and participating in improvement forums.
• Conducting disciplinary investigations and hearings.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to ensuring health and safety standards are met.
