Technical / Quality Manager
•Ensure ownership of GMP, HACCP, food safety and legality at all levels whilst always driving continuous improvements.
•Ensure adherence to all business processes and procedures actively drive improvements that eliminate waste in the processes.
•Vigorously drive all Business processes and take an active lead in improvement
•Working with the cross functional teams to ensure full compliance with all Company and customer requirements including BRC.
•Key liaison for Technical activities for internal and external customers.
•Lead customer visits as required.
•Ensure Early Management is applied to NPD (new Product Development), Equipment and Packaging projects.
•Provide technical input into product trials and launches as required.
•Drive a quality culture, leading by example
•Lead the HACCP teams, ensuring regular reviews, maintenance of systems and implementations into the Business
•Lead pest control compliance for relevant area of the business.
•Technical input into site projects and developments.
•Lead investigations into customer complaints and queries.
•Monitor standards of factory hygiene and manufacturing standards.
•Lead third party and customer audits i.e.
•Leading maintenance and review of site quality management system.
•Coordinate positive release inspection and swabbing activities to support on pack claims
•Lead and investigate sensory, micro and chemical non-conformances.
Qualifications Required for the Job.
•Level 4 or equivalent Food Hygiene Certificate.
•Experience Required for the Job.
•Degree in a food related discipline
• Previous employment in a similar role within the food industry.
•Understanding of factors influencing food safety and means of controlling these. Sound understanding of BRC with experience of leading audits
