Our client is a food manufacturing business that has a rich heritage and history, they operate as an extended family and have high staff retention.
We are currently in partnership as they are seeking a Technical Manager.
The role will focus on managing all appropriate systems so that the business produces products that conform to all required quality, safety and legal requirements.
Administration of TQM and HACCP systems.
Achieve successful accreditations with both BRC (Global Standard) and FEMAS alongside successful accreditations for Kosher and Organic and Halal products; ensuring the purchased product meets safety, quality and legal requirements.
Creation of accurate product specs which meet all legal requirements.
Paying close attention to both customer and supplier feedback.
Liaise with external laboratories to ensure that testing is undertaken to meet company requirements, and ensure that the details of results and actions required are communicated
Management of the QC team understanding individual needs and constructing personalised training programmes
Act as site technical contact for all customers and external bodies
Thorough knowledge of BRC Standard, HACCP and Codex.
