Working closely with all departments internally and liaising with the relevant external compliance authorities, customers and suppliers, the role involves many varied tasks and is key to the ongoing success of the company with your decisions each day having a direct bearing on the performance of the company. Reporting to the CEO and site leadership team you will ensure that you deliver the strategic and operational technical needs of the site supported by the further Group resources of the company’s on-site microbiology laboratory and technical team. Direct reports include– 1* Technical Administrator, 8* Hygiene Operatives. In this role you will work alongside the Technical Manager for the second business site. Our client produce delicious day fresh products. They make many award-winning products and they aim to make products that people enjoy and that bring a smile to everyone’s face each day! They also make frozen products to allow them to send these to customers in the UK and Europe from their BRC approved production facility. Our client is not just a company it is a Family having been a family business for more than 120 years. Many people still work for the company for much of their life with long standing service being a regular occurrence. That does not mean that they are old fashioned in any way as they are a dynamic company operating in fast-moving ever-changing marketplaces where no two days are the same and where manager’s daily decisions have a direct effect on the performance of the business!

CANDIDATE

You will have a proven track record in Technical/Quality within the Food Manufacturing sector. Previous people management experience is not essential for this role. You be well accustomed to working to BRC standards and you will have excellent communication skills. You will be comfortable liaising at all levels of the business.
