ROLE

The role will be: 50% Factory and 50% Compliance/Systems.
Direct Reports: 2 x Senior Quality Supervisors and Quality Systems Manager

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure full compliance to the BRC standard, all retailer manufacturing standards, codes of practice and current industry legislation.
To deputise for the Head of Technical as required.
To ensure that both the Factory & Technical functions are kept up to date on all food safety & legislative changes, taking into consideration their implications for the site & raw materials used.
To Manage the day to day activities of the QA department, QMS and the specification coordinator/administrator to ensure that all factory processes/products and retailer specifications are maintained in good order and are kept up to date.
To ensure internal and external customers technical data is kept up to date and maintained.
To assist QMS Manager in the ‘translation’ of all document-controlled paperwork for the factory
To manage the supplier approval/VACCP/TACCP/Internal audit data base(s) including raw material risk assessment ensuring that both the site and retailer codes of practice are adhered too.

CANDIDATE

You will have a proven track record at QA/Technical Management level with experience of working to BRC standards. You will have knowledge of Technical QMS systems and High Care experience is advantageous.

Monday to Friday, flexible around 9-5
25 Days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
