Shift: Day Shift: 5 Day working week – 1 weekend day/4 mid weekdays

As part of their growth and continuous improvement strategy, they are looking for an experienced and dynamic Technical Manager to join them.
Position Overview:
As a Technical Manager, you will ensure technical excellence across the food manufacturing processes. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals and implement industry-leading practices in quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance to support the company’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the technical team, providing guidance, support, and coaching.
• Develop and maintain robust quality control and food safety programmes.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRC, and other relevant quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process and product improvements.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to industry regulations.
• Manage supplier relationships to maintain product quality and safety.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, including customer complaints.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, implementing necessary adjustments.
• Manage the technical department's budget.
• Participate in new product development, offering expert technical guidance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in a technical management role within the food manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety and quality standards, including HACCP and BRC.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
