Technical Coordinator, Scotland

Our client is a privately-owned Food Manufacturer, an opportunity to join them has become vacant for a Technical Coordinator.
Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be a key member of the Technical requirements to ensure that all product leaving the company meets, customer agreed and statutory legal requirements.
Review and maintenance of existing HACCP system
Review and maintain policies and procedures that form the Quality Management System in compliance with BRCGS Storage & Distribution standard
Review and maintain all supplier approval documentation
Generate and maintain internal audits schedules in line with BRC standards & carry out audits
Schedule and lead required team meetings
Creation and maintenance of product specifications
Implement and manage continuous improvement activities
Create and maintain relevant supporting documentation
Liaise with Local Enforcement Authorities as appropriate
Liaise with “Own Label” customers as required
Respond to technical queries as necessary
Investigate and monitor customer complaints
Assist with all third party/external audits
You will be either educated to a degree level within a food science, food technology, food safety or another closely related discipline. Or have a significant length of employment experience within a similar function for a food manufacturing business
Good understanding and experience preferably with BRC Storage and Distribution, or BRC food manufacturing
Food Safety, Food Hygiene and/or HACCP qualifications are essential
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

What’s on offer?
A starting salary commensurate with the position, circa £24,000.
Working hours of Monday to Friday 08.15 – 16.45 (40 hours)
