Salary: £40,000 DOE
Job Description:
Currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specifications Technologist to join our team in the food industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical specifications for our range of food products to ensure they meet all relevant legal and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain product specifications, including ingredient declarations, nutritional information, and allergen statements.
Ensure all specifications are accurate and up to date, including compliance with relevant food safety, quality, and legal requirements.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain the necessary technical information and ensure all raw materials and packaging comply with our specifications.
Work closely with the NPD team to develop new products and ensure they meet customer and legal requirements.
Provide technical support to customers as required.
Maintain and improve the specification management system.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in food science or related experience at least 2 years of experience in a similar role in the food industry.
Must have retail portal experience.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong IT skills, including experience with specification management systems.
Knowledge of relevant food safety and quality standards and legislation.
