If you are in a Spec Tech role and want something more challenging and varied than completing specifications, then this might be the role for you. If you are thinking long-term, you would also be interested in the growing central food safety team as having scope for potentially a bigger role in future
For this role you would be part of a project team implementing a new technical information system, and you would be validating suppliers' specifications, not writing them yourself.
You would need to use your experience in specifications systems, how to build a recipe table / ingredient declaration, your knowledge of common food pathogens (and know when to “dig deeper” with a supplier), and allergen control processes.
It's 3 days per week in the office in London and 2 days from home. Alternatively, 3 days in Glasgow and 2 days from home – there is no preference from the company.
As you would expect from a “more than Specifications” Specifications role, it is well compensated:
£30,000 – £35,000 basic, and a bonus of up to 10% of basic salary
9% pension (with of that 7% from the company)
33 days holiday
Private healthcare
If this sounds good to you, you have the specifications experience above and you are able to get to central London or Glasgow three days per week, then apply today and I will call you with more info.
