Job Title: Specifications Technologist
Location: Leicestershire, UK (Hybrid – 2 Days Home Working)
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
• Create, review, and update product specifications and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain and verify raw material specifications.
• Ensure that all specifications meet legislative, regulatory, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as NPD (New Product Development), Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to gather and verify product information.
• Conduct label compliance checks and approve artwork to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and update the specifications database and ensure accurate and accessible records.
• Assist with audits and provide technical support to the wider team as needed.
Key Requirements:
• A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a specifications, does not have to be extensive but have an understanding of Specifications
• Strong knowledge of food legislation, labelling regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficient in using specification systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
