I am working with a renowned manufacturing client in the Hull / Humberside region who manufacture an array of niche' products for all major supermarkets, and they are a leader in their specialists product industry. This is an opportunity to join a business turning over £100m per annum, where production is booming and their products are flying of the shelves after recently securing new business from yet another major British retailer.
At present we are looking for an experienced site services professional to lead a site services team of 2 site services engineers and Handymen, responsible for all building works, refrigeration, F Gas, boilers, general fabrication and other small office works.
Mon - Fri day shift, relatively flexible hours, 40 hrs per week
Up to £45,900
Plan and prioritise the shift workload for the Site Services team to enable production targets to be achieved with no issues related to steam, water supplies, refrigeration or building fabric.
Execute the planned preventative maintenance schedule on all infrastructure equipment (using Mainsaver CMMS) to maximise service equipment up time and minimise disruption to production requirements due to breakdowns / failure.
Ensure all plant and equipment adheres to all relevant legislation / insurance requirements so that a safe working environment is maintained all times
Ensure the shift engineering team produces all documents and reports accurately and presents information in the required format to given time scales
Ensure that the permit to work is in place and site contractor rules adhered to so such that contractors and colleagues work safely at all times with no H & S or Food Safety Risks
Lead the Site Services team to create a high performing culture where team members are supported to achieve their targets and their full potential is developed and utilised.
Ensure the Site Services team adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP) ensuring compliance with manufacturing unit food safety requirements
Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
Proven track record of operating at engineering management level within a food manufacturing environment / high care environment
Project Management skills
Understanding of budgetary management
Experience and understanding of Microsoft and computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
IOSH or NEBOSH Certified
Experience of leading a diverse workforce
Experience of contributing to a multi-functional operational management team
Ability to complete report writing etc.
Engineering HNC or equivalent qualifications, backed up with relevant Boiler, Refrigeration & Steam system qualifications.
Food hygiene accreditation
