Role Overview:

As a Senior Technical Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the technical aspects of dairy product manufacturing. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure compliance with BRC standards, drive process improvements, and champion quality assurance to maintain the highest standards of product excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the technical function, overseeing all aspects of quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance for dairy product manufacturing.
Develop and implement robust quality control procedures and processes, ensuring adherence to BRC standards, customer specifications, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality teams to establish and maintain product specifications, including ingredient lists, formulations, and processing methods.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with food safety regulations, GMP, and hygiene standards.
Lead investigations and root cause analyses of product quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement and minimize risks.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, implementing necessary updates to ensure compliance and enhance product quality.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with major retailers, acting as the primary technical point of contact and ensuring alignment with their requirements and expectations.
Monitor and analyze key quality metrics, conducting trend analysis and implementing strategies to improve overall performance and customer satisfaction.
Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and certification bodies, participating in audits and inspections to maintain compliance and proactively address any issues.
Collaborate with suppliers and raw material providers to ensure the quality and safety of ingredients used in dairy product manufacturing.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
Extensive experience in the dairy industry, with a focus on quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
Strong knowledge of BRC standards, retailer requirements, and industry best practices.
Proven track record of working with major retailers and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
