Job: Senior QA
Reporting To: QA Managers
Hours: 4 on 4 off (6am – 4:30pm or 11:30 – 10pm)
Pay rate: £12/hr
Scope:
Supporting the Cell to deliver:
– Optimised stock rotation, associated operational planning with quality feedback
– Support the QA Manager & Product Manager in driving the team’s effectiveness
– Clear communication across all shifts and departments
– Stock management and reassessment from intake through to dispatch
– Monitor and support Cell to deliver product yield and efficiency whilst ensuring customer specifications are met.
– Supports the QA managers & Product managers responsibilities during any periods of absence
– Ensuring QA/”Cell” processes and procedures are followed correctly on a day to day basis, implementing and delivering training to an agreed plan
– Implementation of the quality management system in the pack house.
– To ensure technical compliance is maintained for BRC and other standards
Responsibilities:
Support and actively drive Cell systems and procedures and ensure that they are effective and accurate.
Provide front line support and decisions on product quality ensuring accurate and timely feedback.
Liaise with the technical/commercial/operational/planning departments in relation to product usage ensuring timely and accurate feedback and leading the decision-making process.
Facilitate effective communication within your “Cell” and across all departments
Work closely with the Product Manager, supporting intake/on-line accuracy, re-inspecting stock agreeing and defining rotation & operational planning.
Remains an active member of the QA/”Cell” team, supporting all activities as required
Attend and participate in daily meetings in the absence of the QA Manager
Understand and drive the “Cell” KPI’s
Primary support in the absence of the QA Manager, providing front line decision making and ensuring QA processes and procedures are followed
Supports investigations e.g. Rejections, Process failures & Cell Performance when required ensuring appropriate actions are taken and completed to prevent reoccurrence
Participate in continuous improvement culture
