Do you enjoy working with foods from other cultures and bringing their foods into the UK?
This role suits a passionate foodie who really likes exploring other cuisines and understanding how those foods can be tailored to UK tastes. If exploring street food in Asian cities sounds like a dream trip then this role could be perfect for you.
In this role you will manage relationships between UK businesses and manufacturers abroad – you may speak to a head of product development in Asia on a weekly basis for example. You will manage a portfolio of existing customers and will at times seek new business as well.
This is a fairly autonomous role, the Sales Director likes to allow people to manage their own time and customers and will look for this person to take the lead on managing the UK development team in an informal arrangement.
Must haves:
• Demonstrable food passion and interest in other cultures.
• A good understanding of the UK market from either selling into uk retailers or selling ingredient solutions.
• Be based commutable 3-4 days per month to East Mids around Nottingham.
• Be willing to travel abroad a few times a year.
Salary flexible circa £55-65k + car or allowance + bonus
