Job Description

Our client is one of the UK’s leading food brands. The food industry is very fast paced, demanding, and constantly developing, therefore the people the company looks to join them have a great personality and the drive to exceed the customers’ expectations.

A new vacancy has arisen to join the company’s busy team, the role available is a Sales & Business Development Coordinator and is situated in Central Scotland– a more specific location is available on the application. The role holder will be responsible for working independently, using their initiative and working as part of a small team. The role will be fairly active as the customers, products and costs continuously vary.

The Role:
• Taking an initial sales enquiry from first point of contact to completion.
• Sending out quotations including all costs.
• Setting up customers on Sage.
• Arranging transport and making sure the correct products are picked and dispatched.
• Generating invoices and ensuring payments are up to date.

The Candidate:
• Previous experience of sales and a knowledge of storage, transport and distribution would be preferred.
• Evident confidence in presentation, communication and negotiating with professional peer group and internal to the business.
• Efficient in delivering objectives and key measures.
• Previous use of Sage 50 or greater or similar accounts software would also be preferred if possible.
• High attention to detail.
